The spiral is an ancient symbol representing self transformation and the cycle of death and rebirth.
The spiral represents the
sacred marriage of the masculine (often seen as a linear straight line)
and the feminine (often seen as a circle).
The spiral also represents
the alchemical fire created in the sacred marriage of light and shadow,
masculine and feminine.
Healing Methods
The Center for Alchemy offers a variety
of healing methodologies. In order to best serve your needs, it is essential
for you to understand how different healing methods are used in an integrative
fashion to provide hope and healing for you.
Below is a complete description of our services:
Individual Psychotherapy
We believe that you cannot separate mind, body, emotions and spirit and that each of these areas must be given attention when you are having problems. When you address the emotional aspects of a problem, you find not only peace of mind but also peace of heart and peace of body. Emotional healing is vital to your overall health.
Couple's Therapy
We work with couples to co-create an environment for vulnerability, honesty, spirituality and sexuality in a healthy and functional relationship. We facilitate rebuilding a relational template that is based upon honesty, integrity, spontaneity, spirituality and healthy sexuality. We co-facilitate our couples sessions so each member of the coupleship feels supported in their therapeutic process.
Intensive outpatient program for addictions
Addictions cause serious damage to individuals, couples and families. It is essential to have the opportunity to deeply examine core elements that contribute to early and ongoing sobriety. The primary goal of Intensive Outpatient Program is to provide you with the tools, guidance and support you need to maximize your individual, couples and family recovery. The first phase of our IOP meets for 8 consecutive weeks in which we will explore a variety of topics that we have found are vital to establish early sobriety and maintain ongoing recovery.
Women’s Group Therapy
As women we find strength and support from each other. The purpose of this gathering is to encourage a supportive therapeutic environment where sharing and growth can arise. The topics will include physical well-being, mental health, emotional self, support system and spiritual relationship. Each topic will be explored in depth with a focus on what it means to be a woman in recovery and how to make transformative changes in these areas. Education, group process, experiential work, and journaling will be included. The facilitator of this group is Leslie White who specializes in women’s issues and has a depth of experience in group facilitation. Groups are held on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm and each participant commits to a minimum of six weeks. Please call Leslie at 623-521-9973 for the next group session dates.
Men’s Group Therapy
There are few models in our culture for men to fully embrace and integrate their sense of masculine and feminine aspects of self. Men in our culture often struggle to find supportive environments to examine and explore their issues regarding sexuality, relationships, work habits, and spirituality. The purpose of this gathering of men is to provide a safe, supportive and therapeutically oriented environment for men to openly explore and heal their sense of identity and masculinity. In doing so, the man has the unique opportunity to grow and expand and truly embrace themselves in this world. The facilitator of the group is Dr. Charlie Walker who specializes in men’s issues and has a depth of experience in group facilitation. Groups are held on Monday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm and each participant commits to a minimum of six weeks. Please call Charlie at 928-231-0114 for the next group session dates.
Family Therapy
Family therapy aids the family system in the process of learning a variety of essential communication skills in which all members of the family feel heard and validated. We treat the various symptoms of current disagreements while also helping the family to address the underlying causes of family issues. The key to family health is the ability to be both flexible and cohesive. Rather than complete dependence or independence, we work with families to find their own sense of interdependence. Another key tool for the health and longevity of the family is communication. "Family meetings" are a technique that we teach to family as a tool to address past and ongoing issues and to facilitate healthy communication and resolution. These meetings help to heal family issues as well as to create cohesive, caring and strong family bonds.
Sexuality Therapy
In our sexuality therapy, we address the various psychological and spiritual issues related to sexuality. In our process of discovery and recovery, we will aid you with a variety of tools designed to create or recreate sexuality that is life-affirming, healthy, and satisfying.
